When a random commenter challenged the true identity of a former 2K Marin game developer, they unknowingly helped uncover a forgotten, unfixed bug that unveils a somewhat hilarious message. The bug started making headlines today, promptly after the proof behind it was swiftly served. On 4chan’s video game board, a user who had claimed to have previously worked on Bioshock and Bioshock Infinite under 2K Marin, was reminiscing about their time working on the games. Another poster expressed some rather spiteful doubt in the original poster, and within the next few posts, they get — as Booker DeWitt once was — taken to Church. To prove their creditability, the anonymous game developer posted game-specific instructions to readers so that they could uncover a bug in Bioshock that had never been fixed.
