It’s a 240mm AIO with a sleek look and great overall performance. It’s quiet, with zero fan spin at idle, and it’s easy to fit in most cases. With recent price drops, it’s much more competitive with not only Corsair’s other AIO coolers, but with those from other companies, too. It even has some light RGB lighting effects for good measure. … [Read more...] about The best CPU coolers for 2021

Intel’s chip-packing Radeon graphics slips a brief tease just before CES 2018
As for the 100-watt power use, that’s the combined power draw of the CPU cores, Intel graphics cores, Radeon graphics cores, and HBM2 memory. Speculation points to 45 watts for Intel’s portion followed by around 50 watts for AMD’s graphics. The Radeon aspect could contain up to 24 compute units given that AMD already crams 10 “Vega” CUs in its Ryzen 7 2700U all-in-one processor (APU). AMD’s chip only consumes 15 watts of power. … [Read more...] about Intel’s chip-packing Radeon graphics slips a brief tease just before CES 2018
Intel’s 11th Gen vPro Mobile CPUs Debut at CES 2021
Intel's 11th Gen "Tiger Lake" vPro processors are here, the company announced at the all-virtual CES 2021 today. There are four CPUs getting the business treatment and will show up in a number of laptops also first being announced at the virtual tradeshow. … [Read more...] about Intel’s 11th Gen vPro Mobile CPUs Debut at CES 2021
Intel Teases Rocket Lake Core i9-11900K, Intends to Retake Gaming Crown With 19% IPC Increase
We hope it's the latter, as 32 EUs would hamper gaming performance significantly. On the other hand, doing 128 Xe EUs on 14nm would use up a considerable amount of die space, and most desktop users (at least in the DIY space) will simply use a dedicated GPU anyway. Notably, Intel's test notes say the margin of error for its performance claim is +/- 15%, so we'll have to wait for real-world testing. Intel's Xe graphics also bring in-built AV1 decode acceleration, which is helpful because the codec reduces bandwidth up to 20% for video streaming (such as 4K and 8K content). … [Read more...] about Intel Teases Rocket Lake Core i9-11900K, Intends to Retake Gaming Crown With 19% IPC Increase
Intel’s first 35-watt gaming processors are built on 10nm Tiger Lake
In the meantime, Intel is also expanding its 10th-gen H-series lineup. New to the stack are the Core i7-10870H and the Core i5-10500H, both still based on the older 14nm architecture and using older features such as Thunderbolt 3 and PCIe 3.0. They do, however, now have 16 lanes of PCIe directly attached to the CPU, which Intel says provides enough power for the “fastest graphics.” … [Read more...] about Intel’s first 35-watt gaming processors are built on 10nm Tiger Lake
