The UM6900PUA Series is compatible with HDR 10-enhanced content, allowing images to come to life on screen in fleshed-out detail and intensified colors. It’s not as good as Dolby Vision HDR, but HDR 10 is still four times better than generic HDR. Where it differentiates itself from the pack is its main selling point — the use of an IPS display. With this instead of VA, you’re getting highly accurate colors and the widest viewing angles available in a 180-degree area, allowing you to seat yourself anywhere you want and still get the best view in the house. The contrasts aren’t as deep and there is some mild desaturation, but it’s not a deal-breaker by any means.
