The US government and Huawei have a shaky relationship right now, but that doesn't take away from the fact that Huawei's smartphones have become truly impressive. The Huawei P30 Pro's camera is particularly exciting, yet for US shoppers it's been hard to buy this Huawei phone or any flagship handset. The good news today is that B&H is offering pre-orders for all three phones in the Huawei P30 line: Huawei P30, Huawei P30 Pro, and Huawei P30 Lite. Prices for the unlocked phones range from $319 for the P30 Lite up to $899 for the P30 Pro. Considering Huawei's phones aren't always easy to buy in the US without going through often-unverified resellers, these are good prices to see and actually considerably lower than the UK and Australian costs converted to US dollars. At $599, the standard P30 could give the OnePlus 6T some serious competition. The P30 Lite positions itself as a mid-range phone with some toned down features and a lower-end chipset compared to the other … [Read more...] about Huawei’s P30 series are on sale directly in US, and at great prices

Fitbit now offers two versions of the Fitbit Versa, with the standard model joined by the Fitbit Versa Lite.As the name suggests, the latter is a cheaper version of the smartwatch with some features stripped away. If any news serves as an indication that E3 is drawing near, it's hardware price cuts. Joining Sony and (perhaps) Microsoft, Nintendo is the latest to announce a special deal on one of its consoles. In this case, it's the Nintendo DS Lite, which is getting a price drop to $99 down from $129. The cut is set to take effect as of June 5th - two days ahead, if you recall, of Nintendo's pre-E3 press conference. The cut will be joined by a red repackaging of six of the DS's biggest Mario titles, including New Super Mario Bros. and Mario Kart DS. Sadly, the games don't seem to be getting a similar drop in price. Nintendo cut the price of the Wii earlier this month to $150, signaling that the hardware is on its last legs as the company's next console, code-named "Project Cafe" moves to take over. Nintendo is expected to unveil the console next week. Nintendo's announcement comes shortly after Sony announced a new PlayStation 3 Call of Duty: Black Ops bundle and … [Read more...] about Nintendo cuts DS Lite price to $99
Xiaomi has revealed that it will be launching two Android One smartphones, the Mi A2 and the Mi A2 Lite, in a global launch event set to be held in Spain on July 24. Earlier the company had confirmed that it would be launching the Mi A2 in Spain. However, today in a new tweet, Xiaomi has confirmed rumors that it will be launching not one but two Android One smartphones. Xiaomi and Google partnered last year to launch the Mi A1, the first Android One smartphone from Xiaomi. The company’s decision to follow it up with two new Android One smartphones would suggest that the Mi A1 was received better than the company’s expectations. While the Mi A2 will succeed the Mi A1, the Mi A2 Lite could be targeted at the budget-level segment with a more affordable price tag. Xiaomi Mi A2 specifications Rumored to be based on the Mi 6X, the Mi A2 may feature a 5.99-inch Full HD+ display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. Xiaomi could also use the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset this … [Read more...] about Xiaomi Mi A2, Mi A2 Lite set to launch globally on July 24
The Samsung Galaxy Express and Samsung Rugby may not have been the most exciting new phones in the room at an AT&T event that also included the Samsung Galaxy Note II, but the smartphones are sure to gain some fans of their own. After all, the Samsung Rugby Pro was the only device in the room you could drop on the floor without having to worry about it breaking. But let's start with the Samsung Galaxy Express. Though pricing info isn't yet available, AT&T is pitching it as a budget phone, and on those terms, it looks like it should be a pretty good deal. Think of it as the Galaxy S III-lite. It's a thin, attractive device, and its 4.5-inch Super AMOLED Plus display looked nice enough in person. It features 800-by-480-pixel resolution, which makes for just 207 pixels per inch. But if the price is right (like, free), it'll be enough to make you happy. There's also plenty of power under the hood, in the form of a dual-core, 1.5-GHz processor. I only swiped through the home screens … [Read more...] about Hands On: Samsung Galaxy Express and Rugby Pro
